Exclusive 1 person retreat / Three days to slow down, listen to the body and create with the colours of Alentejo’s plants.

The colour practices
Colour is never just a result here. It is a way of paying attention, through the hands and all the senses. We will work with plants and foods from the region, such as olives, figs, labaça, oranges.

The Living Table of Colours

What you will experience
* Touching, smelling and listening to roots, bark, leaves and seeds before any colour appears. * Noticing textures, weight, scent and sound.
* Walking slowly in the countryside and choosing material with care, taking only what is needed.
* Infusing, macerating or crushing plants by hand. Watching water change colour, smelling the steam, feeling the mortar turn leaves into paste.
* Testing the pigments on paper: thin and thick, wet and dry, opaque and transparent. Seeing how each colour shifts over time.
* Painting without a plan, letting the body choose gestures and colours. The focus is on the process, not the outcome.
* Gathering everything created over the weekend on one table, to look, touch and share what each colour holds.
